Light Samvedna has the honor of being First light centre.
Light samvedna started its journey in 2017, and has since undergone meteoric
rise.
From that point of time LiGHT samvedna has played an important role and
has had a significant impact on the lives of people.
Blood Donation Camp - There was a huge response from the students; about 98 students donated their blood. Poster making competition was also held.
Orphanage Visit
Our club regularly visits Bhagwan Baba Balikashram for multiple objectives like tutoring children to solve their problems, organizing creative games and celebrating various occasions. Visits are monthly/weekly.
Awareness drive - Students from the first year addressed school kids for celebrating a safe and green Diwali. This
event was done under the guidance of Santosh Tapkire sir( principal of Z P School).
RISE campaign - The full form of RISE is Reform and Innovate School Education which is a campaign to make some positive
changes to make the teaching and learning process more fruitful. We had a workshop for teachers of primary and
pre-primary schools from Aurangabad. The workshop was of 5 days 2-3 hrs per day where trainers from IIT Kharagpur
trained teachers.
CCP campaign -Career Counselling Program (CCP) was launched on 25th Jan with the prime aim to connect students of class 9-12th with
college students who have outshined in their respective part and are motivated enough to transfer their experience to
the budding youth.
Saving Wings from Fire - This was a collaborative activity with the Evolve club, GECA.
Under this, we worked towards
providing shelter for birds in summer times. 26 participants were involved.
COVI RELIEF campaign - This was a donation drive to help to provide food to the ones in need. We collected donations
from people and this was donated to the Annamrita Foundation. We collected a total of Rs 8025 which helped serve 105
meals and was a very satisfying work we did.
Inter Center Debate Competition - LiGHT Samvedna won this competition among the other centers involved.
Be A Santa
We, at Samvedna, wanted to bring a smile on the face of orphans on Christmas Day. We started a fundraising campaign to
raise money for various activities that we were going to undertake.
Sponsorship program - Under this, we are trying to connect financially weak students who cannot afford to study to
organisations or schemes that provide funds or financial assistance. Work is in progress.
LiGHT Samvedna conducted a 'Notebook Donation' event on India's 75th Independence Day. The team made notebooks from residual assignment pages and donated 82 notebooks to the Municipal Corporation Urdu Medium High School in Aurangabad. The event was a success, and the team thanked everyone who supported them.
LiGHT Samvedna club and Matoshri Boys Hostel GECA organized a blood donation camp with the motto "Donating blood is an act of generosity and can save lives." Doctors and nurses from Dattaji Blood Bank were present. 111 units of blood were collected from students and faculties. The camp also had poster and slogan competitions with prizes for winners. Every donor received a certificate of appreciation.
On Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, we organized a cleanliness drive to promote team bonding and raise awareness about clean environments and physical and mental health. Over 100 participants, including college students, faculty, and staff members, joined with great enthusiasm to recognize the importance of cleanliness, which is indeed next to godliness .
NSS, Rotary Club of Aurangabad ELITE, and LiGHT Samvedna collaborated on a campaign to improve girls' health. During a blood donation camp, many girls couldn't donate due to low haemoglobin levels. LiGHT organized a free health check-up for 130+ girls, guided by Principal Bhalchandra and doctors Vikram Choubey and Swati Samarth. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of diet and health measures to combat low haemoglobin levels, which is a prevalent issue in India. We also provide Health Cards, and medical descriptions to girls.
LiGHT Samvedna's visit to SNEHSAWALI CARE CENTER, Aurangabad on 27 January 2023 was aimed at spending quality time with the elderly residents. The team engaged with 55 patients, providing companionship during a music session and introducing them to new technologies. The care centre caters to the needs of elderly individuals who are alone or have physical or mental challenges. The LiGHT Samvedna team's efforts made a positive impact on the lives of elderly residents.
Light Samvedna Club represented in an annual alumni meet attended by 200 alumni. The team members showcased different club activities through stalls and interacted with alumni about their future plans. Alumni appreciated the club's work and provided suggestions and donations to expand its impact. A donation of INR 1,300 was received.
LiGHT Samvedna club donated groceries to the Bhagwan Baba Ashram. The club collected funds from members and purchased the required groceries for the ashram, fulfilling their requirements. The initiative was taken to support the ashram and provide assistance to the people living there. The club's efforts were well received and appreciated by the ashram authorities, and the beneficiaries were grateful for the donations. The club hopes to continue such initiatives in the future to help those in need
LiGHT Samvedna Club organized a teaching program for orphaned students to help them prepare for their board exams. The students were taught Maths, Science, and English as they had no access to tuition. The program aimed to provide a platform for these students to excel in their studies and build a better future. The team at Light Samvedna Club was proud to support these students and help them achieve their academic goals.
